College Admission Counseling
Grounded in my experience working for Bowdoin College Admissions and my graduate studies at the University of California, Irvine in Educational Consulting, I guide students through the multi-year process of applying to college. The application process is about both developing the personal insight needed to find good fit schools and building organizational and decision-making skills involved in making big life decisions. Focusing on personal mindset development, progress rather than perfection, splitting tasks into manageable steps, and celebrating the growth that happens are all life skills that can serve students well in college.
College Admission Counseling includes any of the core segments of the process:

-
Creating College lists
Focusing on finding "good fit" schools, rather than brand names.
-
Writing College Essays
Starting from the brainstorming process through final revisions. Students working with me write authentic, detail-oriented, insightful submissions.
-
Test Prep
Strategizing how to best support an application through testsing. Find more information about SAT, ACT, and AP testing here.

-
Financial Aid
From the FAFSA and CSS Profile to navigating college aid offers, appealing for more college aid, and applying for additional scholarships.

-
Application and organizational management across the Common App, UC application, Coalition App, and more. Keeping students on deadlines and building their organizational capacity to manage their responsibilities and work towards their future goals.
